21 Graduation
21.1 Graduation procedure
Once your thesis has a passing grade and you have completed all other courses:
- You will automatically receive a graduation email within approximately two weeks
- Upload your thesis to the UBVU thesis database — this is mandatory for receiving your diploma
- Choose Publicly available under access rights
- Instructions: vu.nl/en/about-vu/divisions/university-library/more-about/uploading-your-thesis
- Indicate your attendance at the graduation ceremony (usually in October/November)
NoteNo defense required
There is no oral presentation or defense of the MA thesis in Communication Science. The diploma ceremony is a celebration, not an assessment event.
